PARBOLD RAMBLERS NEW YEAR WALK
We Walk On Home Ground For The First 2018 Walk Then Hot-Pot In The Red Lion Hotel After The Walk.
Sunday7th January 2018
Meet at the Red Lion Hotel 09-45 to start the walk 10-00 am
The Walk 5miles. Difficulty: Category B
We start the walk from the Red Lion we take field paths to Dalton then make our way down to the Leed &Liverpool Canal towpath back to Newburgh. If we are lucky and get a good clear day we will get some lovely views.
Terrain
Mainly flat walking along field paths, racks and canal towpath likely to be muddy in places. There is just one short track a little steep. As we say it could be muddy in places so we suggest good footwear to be worn.
Toilets.
None on the walk but we may be able to access the Red Lion before the walk. We will check with the manager.
Safety
We have to cross the road twice on the walk so care to be taken as we are all aware we are responsible for our own safety.
Refreshments.
We will stop for a drinks break on the walk.
