PARBOLD WILDLIFE GROUP
The next meeting of the Wildlife Group will be held on Tuesday 10th March from 1930 in the upstairs meeting room at the Red Lion, Newburgh. The main event will be a talk by Andy Rowett (Lancashire Wildlife Trust) on Red Squirrels.
The Red Squirrel is our only native squirrel, and was once common across the entire country. Sadly, their population has been in long term decline and they are restricted to a few localities in England. Do join us for this talk and find out how this delightful species has declined, how conservationists are working to protect the remaining populations, and what can be done in the future to reintroduce it to areas that it once inhabited.
