The Walk.

This is a 5.5 mile walk from the book, I got the walk from was classed as a easy walk. But I would suggest it as a B walk in our category. We have 3 ascents not too steep but still a little climb the most difficult of this walk was when the path drops down to the River Darwen we found a little tricky in a couple of places, So care and assistants may be needed especially if the ground wet and slippy,

Terrain

There's a mixture of surfaces on this walk, starting with a short stretch along the canal towpath, then it's farm tracks fields woodland paths also the tricky riverbank also we cross a railway and two roads care to be taken.

Toilets

Sorry none on the walk but natural cover.

Note

The Boatyard Inn were we start the walk from sadly was destroyed by fire a few years ago but we can still use the car park the post code PR5 0SP
