Parbold and District Ramblers
Sunday 7th December 2025
Local walk beginning and ending at The Rigby Arms, Whittle Lane, Wrightington.
Meet at Parbold shops at 9.30am or at the Rigby Arms at 9.45am. This is a pleasant walk of about 4.5 miles. Difficulty C.
The Walk. The walk is on footpaths across or around fields with several stiles. It is mainly flat but in Fairy Glen there are two sets of steps, where you might need a stick.
We will have a coffee stop on the way, and a lunch stop for those who won’t be attending the meal at The Rigby Arms after the walk. We need to book our meals in advance.
Car Parking – Please park in the marked bays at the front of the pub. Post code WN6 9QB
Toilets – At the pub start and finish.
