Parbold and District Ramblers
Harrock Estate Circular September 13th 2026
This is a local walk starting at the Rigbye Arms. Meet at Rigbye at 9.45 am for a 10 am start. We have been given permission to park but please try to keep to as few cars as possible by sharing. A meal has been booked for 2.30pm.
The Walk
This is a lovely six and a half mile walk through the Harrock Estate and the area around it. There are great views both of Blackpool Tower and the Fylde coast, and also Winter hill and north Lancashire. Most of the walk is on footpaths and quiet lanes, with one short walk along a busy road. There are a few inclines but nothing too strenuous. There are about 9 stiles, most are ok, one a bit awkward, but I managed them all so not too bad. IF we have a lot of rain some areas could be quite muddy, so sticks and stout boots may be needed. There are no toilets, but plenty of natural foliage. There will be a coffee stop, and another stop for those who wish to bring a packed lunch.
Food
A table for 10 has been provisionally booked for 2.30pm at the Rigbye. They need numbers asap and also a £10 deposit .(if there are more than 10 of us)
