The London Tango Quintet is a unique group of five internationally acclaimed musicians performing tango music at the
highest level. Joining them is celebrated guitar virtuoso Craig Ogden, one of the most exciting artists of his generation.
The result is an energetic, inspiring and thoroughly enjoyable concert of relaxed virtuosity and a fantastic opening concert for Parbold. London Tango Quintet at the Movies explores tango’s enduring relationship with cinema through a programme of music that has shaped some of film’s most memorable moments, from Gardel’s Por una Cabeza and Piazzolla’s Last Tango in Paris to Tango de Roxanne from Moulin Rouge. The programme draws on the ensemble’s deep understanding of the tango tradition and the exceptional artistry of its players
