SILK PAINTING
Saturday 31th August 2019
Discover the delights of painting on silk during this creative and inspiring workshop. You will begin by investigating the techniques and processes of silk painting, applying gutta -an outlining fluid used to create shapes and images, mixing and applying silk paint and adding rock salt and table salt to the paint to create pattern and texture. Following on from this you will have the opportunity to create two silk painted outcomes of your choice from your chosen theme. Themes include flowers, landscapes and a wealth of assorted patterns.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and for those with some silk painting experience.
Tuition is by an experienced and qualified tutor. Group demonstrations and one to one guidance is provided as you work through each stage of the silk painting process.
TIME: 10.30 - 4.00 pm.
PRICE: £45 includes silk and all materials.
