Parbold, Newburgh & District Garden Society

Day Trip to Ness Gardens + Plant Hunters’ Fair

Date: Sunday, 4th September. Cost: £20 for members & £24 for guests.

The price includes the coach travel and the entry to Ness Gardens + Plant Hunters’ Fair. Ness Gardens are located on the Wirral, with fantastic views across the River Dee to North Wales. They were originally created by Arthur Kilpin Bulley. He was passionate about plants, especially new plants being introduced to European gardens from China, Tibet and Nepal. After his death in 1942, Bulley's daughter Lois presented Ness to the University of Liverpool with an endowment of £75,000.

Plant Hunters’ Fair will be visiting Ness Gardens on the day of our visit. You will see many unusual plants and traditionally grown plants for every type of garden.

Please write cheques to Parbold Garden Society and return to the address below. A reminder will be sent out a week before the trip. If you are not a member please include your address.
